In need of some extra support this summer?
Carla Dawson is a graduate student in the UBC counselling program. She is seeing clients under Sarah Pullman's supervision during summer 2020, by secure video.
Carla comes to her counselling work by way of a first career as a math teacher in elementary schools. She has two undergraduate degrees, in Kinesiology and Education. Originally from the East Kootenays, she grew up without queer role models, and came out as gay in her late 20’s. Growing up in a small, conservative town gave her a passion for serving others who are questioning or part of the LGBTQ2+ community. She lives with her partner and their food-obssessed cat, Brambles.
Carla's style is warm, curious, empathic, and practical. She can provide supportive counselling for a wide range of issues, for individual adult clients as well as teens age 14+.
Fees per hour are on a sliding scale from $20-80.
